AAIE is currently accepting supportive members. By joining the association at this level, you will join other ethicists and help guide AAIE’s work to certify professional AI and Digital Ethicists, and protect their independence. All membership applications will be assessed by a committee to ensure that only professionals working as ethicists or are aiming to do so are admitted to the Association. In case of rejection, the membership fee will be refunded in full.

Active Members
The price for membership is €750.00 per Year.
Active Members are certified professionals working in an official capacity as ethicists in domains such as technology, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics. Persons seeking Active Member status must apply for membership and pay annual dues, presently set at €750 per year according to income level.
Active Members are full voting members of the Association. They can join the Board of Directors, serve on the Executive Committee, and propose amendments to the Statutes of the Association. They also have full access to the online resources, networking, and professional development opportunities offered by the Association. Only certified members can be accepted as Active Members.
Membership expires after 1 Year.
Association of AI Ethicists
Supportive Members
The price for membership is €120.00 now.
Supportive Members are individuals who are not (yet) certified professional ethicists, or those who have an interest in the development of ethical AI. Supportive Members can attend annual meetings and some professional development opportunities, but they cannot vote on matters that come before the General Assembly. They cannot join the Board or propose amendments to the Statutes of the Association. Applications for Supportive Members must be validated by the Board.

The price for membership is €12,000.00 per Year
Benefactor Members are individuals or organizations who make financial contributions to the Association in the form of sponsorships or other philanthropic support. Membership is renewable annually. Benefactor members may attend annual meetings but cannot act as delegates at a related meeting or assembly, without the explicit consent of the Board, serve on the Board’s Executive Committee as elected or appointed members, nominate members for positions on the Executive Committee; or propose amendments to the Statutes of the Association. Applications for Benefactor Members must be validated by the Board.
Membership expires after 1 Year.
